We are proud to announce that Durham-based Warehouse Service Solutions (WSS) has officially been acquired by SHS Handling Solutions®.

For over 30 years, WSS has set the standard for technical excellence in manual pallet truck maintenance. By bringing WSS into SHS, we are combining decades of specialised repair and maintenance expertise with our nationwide "Design. Supply. Maintain." infrastructure.

We have significantly increased our density of engineers, particularly in the North, ensuring faster response times and greater technical support for our customer operations.

WSS customers will now benefit from the SHS centralised Customer Service team, providing streamlined scheduling, faster parts sourcing, and proactive maintenance tracking.

I am an existing WSS customer; who is my point of contact?

Your onsite engineering team remains the same. You will continue to see the same familiar faces, now supported by our expanded office-based Customer Service team at SHS HQ in Buckingham.

Will the WSS name change?

From 1st June 2026, the legal trading entity will become SHS Handling Solutions® Ltd. While you will see the SHS brand become more prominent over the coming months, the technical expertise and values of WSS remain with the team in the maintenance division.

I'm a current WSS customer – do I need to change anything?

Our service to you remains seamless. All existing customers will receive communication from WSS with the simplest steps needed to update your internal records. If you have not received yours or need a copy, please contact our finance team at [email protected].
